RobBright 35
Eventually - took me about 2.5 hrs - usually only 1hr!
Thundercat 60
GF got stuck in Odawara too. She ended up having to take the shinkansen back to Mishima as all the local trains were canceled... even the shinkansen was running on a limited schedule because of the amount of rain. RobBright 35
That station is the major hub for the shonan area - has 5 train lines (tokaido, yokosuka, shonan-shinjuku, keihin-tohoku, yokohama-line) coming in/out/through it! ALL were delayed!
mikelowry 0
So it appears white short sleeved shirts and black pants are all the rage for the gents this season. A fair call?
Tubby Beaver 209
My mate eventually jumped on the shink from Atami to Odawara then took the Odakyu line to Hadano before getting a bus home to Hiratsuka.

Tubby Beaver 209
Yeah. The shinkansen goes the same way as he would have gone anyway BUT after that it goes into the countryside heading for Shin-Yokohama, so not thru his station. But the local lines were stopped so he had to take another line, detouring into the countryside before getting the bus
