SKI 15
Just holding out for that Myoko linkup which would be a fab addition.
Tubby Beaver 209
that would be cool. Haven't been to Noz yet but I dug Myoko and Madarao was great when I went (zero crowds).
SKI 15
Worth a look is Madarao when not busy. And slap bang in the middle of Nozawa and Myoko it's in a good positoon esp. when they can get this service going.
Thundercat 60
I totally agree! I had a fun day there last season. It's not a huge place but you can definitely roam around a bit.
SKI 15
Did you check out the official tree ungroomed runs BM? Believe there will be a third one added this season.
anti-samson 0
Myoko resorts can't even agree things between themselves well, so extending out furher is probably taxing them too much!
ShinyDiscoBall 2
Are they still arguing? anti-samson, do you get stronger when you get a haircut or something?
Thundercat 60
Yeah Ski, I checked out the official and the unofficial tree runs... there was also an area on piste that was left totally ungroomed which was awesome under 20cms of freshies. We used to take our students there every year too... but alas the ski trip has been cancelled because of costs
Mintyjulep 0
I just got an email about this today - What are Togari & Madarao like?
iiyamadude 6
This has been covered in another existing thread, here on the first page even. http://www.snowjapanforums.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/372069/Good_news_for_people_wanting_t.html
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 178 Posted September 24, 2010 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted September 24, 2010 I have merged them.
Mintyjulep 0
Thanks David, iiyamadude - Hadn't read this topic beyond the first five posts and didn't know that the content in here was the same as what I was posting.
Tubby Beaver 209
Madarao is good for a day out if you are at Noz. Wouldn't want to stay there but a def have fun in a day
muikabochi 208
I'm going to go this coming season. Time it well perhaps stay a night in either Nozawa or Madarao.
iiyamadude 6
Posted in the other thread but think it belongs here too - just asked my friend today he seems confident that the Myoko > Madarao bus will be a go.
muikabochi 208
Fingers crossed they get that going.
SKI 15
That would be good news. After all it's not far is it. 20 minutes or so? Perhaps a bit more in bad conditions.
iiyamadude 6
Sadly, it seems the Myoko link isn't going to happen this season. I heard - just heard, but from a reliable friend - that the Myoko resorts weren't keen on 'sharing' their guests with Nozawa and Madarao so easily.
SKI 15
Why am I not really surprised. Hopefully whoever is trying to talk some sense into them will keep at it.
