So, what's your 2010/2011 Japan ski plans then?

Firming up a little, now looking at a short visit to Seoul (and probably the DMZ and some other parts of S Korea). Then back to Myoko for a slide.

At least, that's the current plan - awaiting a decent exchange rate before we book much more. We've already booked in Seoul.

Nah, more to understand the concept, and to see what all the fuss was about.

I can almost recall the Korean "conflict" in its intense days, so I wanted to see the place it all happened (plus, I watched - and still do in replay - MASH, so ...)

And, yeah, hope to get back to see and slide Myoke.

Any thoughts about that last bit? Accom, prices etc? All info gratefully received wink

thumbsup Yep Ski. Just got into Canberra.

God this place is backward. The CASINO hotel...Friday night and the room service menu (for the Perthites who think it is Dinner time) consists of Caesar Salad, Toasted Sandwich and Chips. That is IT.

We are hanging here for an extra night, change over days and all... but will be up on the mountain before lunchtime on Sunday.

Pete. Yeah your end I reckon. My PMs working fine.

Wrong!

Papa and I stayed overnight in the city after a Ball, and ordered some awesome stuff from the 24hr menu. Maybe hot food in a restaurant yes, but hot food in a hotel....?

The best way to get through the Japanese summer is to set some targets:

- visit beer garden(s)

- go to Sapporo summer festival

- try to invent reasons to go abroad

- go to Jimbocho and ogle new BC skis and road bikes

- watch fireworks

- plan family visit to Japan in October

- eat good food

- going to the gym (yes, this is listed in order of priority...)
