Ahhh, yes!

Here's one

The newscasters on the tv at the beginning all standing there looking as if they have got a stick up their bums and holding their hands perfectly in front of them.

Sounds a litle like American football AKA gridiron. 5 minutes of game in an hour, shite acting.

Neither do I, and I grew up there. There seems to be a lot of diagram-drawing on the blackboard, after which the players go out on the field and just try to head-butt the other team unconscious. The team with the last player standing wins.

Don't understand baseball either.

At least baseball has clear rules about who wins when. Now cricket, as I understand it, just goes on and on until one of the teams gets sick of playing.

Do they still have the shoulder pads, or was that just an 80's fashion phase? wink

Shoulder, knee, hip, body, ass, ankle pads - the whole bit! They are always surprised at the body contact in Aussie Rules or Rugby League and the minimal padding worn.

Saw a bit of a Japanese drama on TV.

Guy on date with girlfriend. They're expected back at his mum's for lunch.

Mum had prepared loadsa food.

He procrastinates from one shop to the next.

Girl eventually gets fed up.

They go back to his mum's in late afternoon.

Mum opens the door in a funny mask expecting to cheer her boy up.

Mum sees girlfriend for first time.

Embarrasment both sides.

Excellent.
