For some the season is over, for others still on it.

Dreaming of the coming season, list up what you would love to ride ...

No interest? I'm ready to put my money down for the Jones solution and Karakoram split setup. Also thinking of getting the flagship, too.

Going longer to 161 cm next year, taking advantage of the nose rocker for pow float (and added surface) and keeping that effective edge length I have with the 157 I'm riding now. I love that nose design. It makes so much sense.

If I were 80kg and size 11 feet, I would highly consider the Hovercraft packing the surface area of a 170 board into a 157. Waay too wide for my weight and foot size, if it came with narrower version, I could be sold. Check out the set back. Pow board that will handle some flat area and trees. Cool for Japan, don't you reckon?

Those Jones boards look really sweet! I would love to give them a try... the only problem is they seem quite similar to a few boards I already have (Burton Fish and Royale) Don't know if I could justify buying something similar to what I already have... (especially since I just laid down a fortune on a new house I just moved into!!)

I demoed a few Gentem Sticks in Niseko this past season and am seriously thinking about picking one of them up...

Muika - you walk in with your board, point to board that floats your boat and for a very modest fee they swap your bindings over and you're out the door with an awesome board. They have a lot of their range lined up ready to go. I had a go on the 189cm Impossible for an afternoon when the wax job on my board packed it in. Fantastic board - sonic boom fast and super stable. I didn't get to try it in the deep though but it would have been a dream ride. If a board like that wasn't a bitch to travel with (and a bit pricey - $2,000)) I would have bought it there and then.

Particularly great if your name is Jones!

Not sure - the rental guy was more concerned about explaining to me that even though it was mid afternoon I was going to have to pay for the full afternoon and that if the board was excessively damaged I would up for the cost of repairs/replacement! The guys in the demo store seemed pretty causal so, maybe they'd let you trial a few boards, though they might be a bit jack of acting as your pit crew.

For those with the dosh the boards seem a good buy. I think Mamabear's husband did a gemtem demo and bought one - is that right Mamabear? A mate who lives in Niskeo has had one for a few years and loves it. If I was a living in Japan and using it every second day, maybe, but no point having one whilst living in the bloody tropics!

theres demos in japan? Well i mean, i know theres a salomon demo thing at goryu, but Wheeee! I never realised. I dont suppose bataleon are there? Im never going to pull the trigger on TBT until ive ridden it first. As for gear porn: its cheap(ish) but i cant honestly wait for the black snowboard of death: flat kick, middle contact point to offset the FK and camber between the bindings. Definitely feeling the love on it smile

I spent last year on my scope loving it and all, but i have a feeling that this is the board i really wanted. Its going to be a pretty damn aggressive freestyle stick.

Yes. That is right Rag-Doll.
He didn't buy a new board in Tokyo like the rest of us, and so when the opportunity came up to trial a masterpiece and acquire it for many years of powder pleasure (we do hope to be doing this for a few more years yet) - he went for it.

Now the kids reckon he needs to buy 3 more, so that he can leave one each to the offspring in his will! Cheeky buggers.

Highly recommend the trials if you are keen.
Even just a visit to their store is a buzz.

Rob´s interested in splitboards so here we go.

Ventura Euphoria. Powder board. I like this company. They offer their boards in split version and in traditional camber or rocker

I think this one is good for Hokkaido.
