Well the deal is about to be done which sees me working in China for the foreseeable future. Its a 5 week on, 17 days off roster with the ability to go anywhere in the world on my time off, at their expense.

 

To top it off I have been able to finagle a trip to Japan for 2 weeks boarding before I start. So will be in Hakuba ASAP after sorting out my China visa.

 

To top it off I won some lift tickets here.... THANKS SJF!!!!!!

 

Finally its going to happen. Hope to meet some of you in person, maybe get some turns together and have a beer.

Im arriving next Tuesday and hanging until the 7th. Will be working in Baishan, up near the North Korean border with a bit of time in Beijing. So stoked its actually happening.

They have probably some basic ski areas there too. Watch some of the China ski sites for details. Expect it to be more expensive then Japan too.

While at Niseko I was talking with an Aussie on the gondola. He's living in Shanghai and said that the Chinese and Russians are building a large resort somewhere on the border. He said it would be the largest ski field in the world. A bit light on details and I'm assuming this is a whiles off, but interesting none the less.

Ping Tian in China is supposed to be the next big resort in the Orient. But their website's been saying "we're almost open" for 3+ years.
