mina2 6
OK this is strange. Each morning in winter when I first come to my office, it's really cold. And it takes forever for webpages to appear and for mail to download when I first try. But it seems to get back to something normal after 20 minutes ot so. Sounds unlikely to me but is the modem/router or whatever it's called just complaining at the cold?!?

NoFakie 45
You should make a little jumper for it!

grungy-gonads 54
Before your gran comes up with the goods, just give it a cuddle early on.
Tubby Beaver 209
Mina I think it does...well the computer anyway. I'd suppose that the sillicon chips have ideal operatin temperature ranges and in the winter mornings, the temps must be slightly below this range and so is slower. I am basing this purely on my own musings and have absolute no scientific knowledge to back it up....but I have often thought this as my computer is same
muikabochi 208
Best get that jumper made quick!
RobBright 35
Perhaps the problem is with the computer? Too many initial processes going on when you first boot up?

thursday 1
there is of course a logical explaination to this. But it's tech talk, so not gonna mention it. Just give your PC some TLC every morning.
