I did ask and do appreciate feedback but in order to do anything about this I will need more information. For example did you try to upload an image, was it a gif/jpg, what size was it, what message did you get (if any)? Without that kind of information there's not much to go on. Tex 3 Posted December 4, 2009 Share Posted December 4, 2009 Sorry SJ for the lack of info... It is a JPEG 68 x 68 and size is 6.67kb. On the profile page I hit the "Upload your avatar" radio button. Browse >>> select the image >>> the correct location (on my computer) appears in the text box >>> Hit "Submit" >>>> Page reloads and says "Your settings have been updated". But no avatar appears. In the meantime, if you upload the avatar somewhere on the web, then you can specify the image URL for your avatar. That seems to be working ok. If you create a member page on SnowJapan you can upload a small image on your member page and do it that way. We'll be trying to solve the other problem soon. Thanks Link to post Share on other sites

Still testing things and it seems a bit stubborn if you want to change an avatar, but it seems to be working for people trying to upload one at least. Here's what you need to do if you want to add one. Create your little image - they appear as 70 x 70 pixels so that size is best. Make it a gif or jpg or png file. Then go to My Stuff > Profile Go to the bottom of the page and you'll see some options for avatars. Choose Upload your avatar and search for it on your computer. Then press on Submit and hopefully that will be ok. We're all a bit busy with other pressing matters today but will take another look at this again some time later. Thanks. You need to make sure they are turned on. On the main Forums menu bar above, click on: My Stuff and choose Preferences On that page you should see 'Show User's Avatars?' with the option for Yes or No. please make sure that the Yes option is checked and then click on Submit at the bottom of the page.
