thursday 1
Bit sick of lugging my heavy weight K2 Outlaws around. Thinking lightweight carbon fibre. Anyone know of a good set for general use, similar purpose as the outlaws. Pros and cons of carbon fibre maybe. Thanks.
Yuki's Passion 1
My Lhasas are carbon/fiberglass and are super light, even with dukes mounted on them; but theyre prolly much more of a ski than youre after at 140-112-122 @ 186. The 186 turns in tight trees on a dime, significantly better than even my Atomics which are 130-105-120 @ 180. Unfortunately you cant demo them in Japan, but its a quality ski. DPS also has something similar with their Lotus skis. Check out the websites for DPS and PM gear. Also, tech talk at teton gravity has a wealth of information.
quattro 1
I use to have some old lacroix skis. These were wicked light. Maybe a bit hard to find. They were one of my favorite skis.

Slippery Jim 65
I spent a day on Goode skis a couple of years ago. Suspect they'd be a lot of fun on groomers but they weren't great in the heavy wet powder we had to deal with that day. Of course they were pretty narrow by today's standards -- probably 70mm underfoot. Wider all-carbons might work better.
rider69 18
Any light snowboard or ski will get bucked in bad conditions. If you are just on piste there is no need to go super light with any gear.
thursday 1
been looking at those Goodes. What are the lightest bindings I can get for those? Thanks.
Yuki's Passion 1
are you touring on these Thursday? If not, you dont really need to worry about the weight as much, 'sides you need to get stronger so carrying em around will help yeah?
