hannahsentance 0
Hey all Will be spending a few months in Niseko Feb/March next year and we are looking at basing ourselves in Kutchan (in a basic share house). Has anyone done the same before and recommend it, or would it be best to be in Hirafu? We kind of like the idea of being somewhere where we'd find less tourists plus it's less expensive. Cheers for any help Han
keba 0
Not easy. We had trouble finding even short-term accommodation in Kutchan Feb this year. Stayed at Hotel Yotei. Nice hotel, with onsen, restaurant, walk to town and bus to Hirafu. All staff speak in Japanese only, one of the guys here in the forums who works in Kutchan organised it for us (sorry, I won't name him as I'm sure he has no ambition to become a travel agent). Might be pricey for long-stay, though. Never saw any share-house options. Good luck.
thursday 1
I reckon it was the went aboriginal guy. Or the Nepalese curry vendor.
