SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan#Andrew 6 Posted November 13, 2009 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted November 13, 2009 Interesting thursday. I know they are certainly interested in trying. In recent years there have been a lot of Koreans in particular visiting Zao (direct to Sendai airport I believe) but that market was hurting last season because of the exchange rates. Is that part of a package to other resorts as well?
thursday 1
SJ1, that's a flight into Narita, night in Tokyo and transfer to one of four hotels in Zao. Very comptetive in prcing, about half of an Hokkaido package. There's a lot more on offer this season. All good I hope.
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan#Andrew 6 Posted November 14, 2009 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted November 14, 2009 Thanks thursday, I'd be interested to know more and maybe talk to one of the people I know over there, see if they know about it. I know one of the worries that people over there were having last year was prices for that market getting too low and also the 'overseas' pricings compared to the domestic market. If you have anything can you send it on to me PM/mail? Thank you.
stemik 14
i think the Chinese, Singaporeans and most of SE Asia will be very interested in Zao., those snow monsters are a sure sell. Good luck to Zao
Jynxx 4
Zao is arguably the #1 rated all time resort amongst Japanese (depending on who you are talking to of course
SKI 15
And where did you hear that Jynxx? Sounds dubious to me. Good to hear that The Zao is getting some more eyeballs.
Jynxx 4
I can put a Japanese web based research results for you if interested ... I did say "arguably" , but amongst the intermediate~advanced, ZaO and Happo O'ne Tsuga Ike, Okushiga, Hokkaido rates high. Always bin that way. There is one that showed; when it comes down to people between Kanto and Kansai, Naeba rates first for Kanto, and Niseko rates first for Kansai. I suppose it's easier and quicker to fly.
