The question is why is this emoticon wakaranai called a wakaranai when all the others are in understandable english?

That is simply just a decision I think I made when we were putting them all together, snowjunky. We made those ourselves you see, and had to come up with names for them all. On reflection perhaps an English word would be best - but you can always just click on it to get it in there. Sometimes the Japanese comes quicker than the English.

I like it.

When I first saw it I assumed from the emoticon the meaning, however I also looked it up - and learnt something.

When stuff is not written in romanji on here I usually get the eldest son to translate if I want to know the meaning.

Stretch your mind snowjunky ;-)
