mina2 6
Had one of those last weekend. I found it hard to move for the rest of the day and felt rather guilty the next day! It was great though.

Jynxx 4
rach, it´s the Baguette that you gotta find on the day. As long as you use Swiss Emmental and Gruyer (sorry forgot the spelling) about 50/50 and put white wine, you don´t need anything else. I melt them on the stove. I cut them in small-ish pieces with the wine - just makes it easier to melt - heats up quicker and evenly. And then to the table and put a alcohol burner underneath. Just needs low heat. If I were camping, I´d just use rocks instead of a fondu stand. in essence, it´s yummy melted cheese with yummy crust bead.
Alexander L 80
I have a bread machine that makes hard french bread. And also have a fondue set from Christmases past. What is the prefered white wine?
Jynxx 4
It´s just for cooking. Alcohol will evaporate. Any white wine will do, but I wouldn´t use the sweet (late picked) variety. Ours is a 4 euro a bottle Italian organic wine that get used for cooking.
Ezorisu 0
Whoa - I just misread the title of this thread as "Chinese Fondue"! Probably from reading the "Chinese morals or lack thereof" thread.
