rach, it´s the Baguette that you gotta find on the day.

As long as you use Swiss Emmental and Gruyer (sorry forgot the spelling) about 50/50 and put white wine, you don´t need anything else.

I melt them on the stove. I cut them in small-ish pieces with the wine - just makes it easier to melt - heats up quicker and evenly.

And then to the table and put a alcohol burner underneath. Just needs low heat. If I were camping, I´d just use rocks instead of a fondu stand.

in essence, it´s yummy melted cheese with yummy crust bead.

It´s just for cooking. Alcohol will evaporate.

Any white wine will do, but I wouldn´t use the sweet (late picked) variety.

Ours is a 4 euro a bottle Italian organic wine that get used for cooking.
