shingaikokujin 0
I've had my mobile phone for a few years now and it's playing up on me so looking for a new one. Bit lost with all the choice though. Would like to get a decent recent one seeing as though I don't change often. Any recommendations at all? Would be great if I could access the web on it... oo 1
If you can wait until summer, the Toshiba TG-01 is looking sexy. Then again, if you just want a phone.....!

thursday 1
2 pints, unless I'm mistaken, that is a home cordless phone. So SK would need to keep within 100m of his apartment. Good if there's an izakaya next door.

inned muppet 0
Got the black version of the SH-04A last week. Sweet phone. Paid in 24 installments of 2400 yen so it doesn't hurt at all. Touch screen and that keyboard makes it better than an iphone. You can get much cheaper but I'm a happy camper.
its-a-clock 0
Had a play with that one in the shop the other day. SUCH a big improvement on the usual keitai keys.
nzlegend 1
SH04 -thats the one I want - was looking at the blackberry Bold docomo have, but apparently this SH04 completely blows it out the water. Its not even a race.
1 4
On recommendation of this thread, went down the local Docomo and had a play around with the SH04. Nice one. The keyboard is default English and big enough to be able to 'type' quite quickly actually. Screen pretty big too. Definitely a bit step up from the fiddly keitai pads. The Blackberry Bold looked rubbish in comparison
inned muppet 0
At last got the (500+) page English version of the manual. This is a sweet phone - looking forward to being able to use it more than I can now (my Japanese is not good!) The only downer is how much of a fingerprint and smudge getter it is. Unavoidable with a touch screen device I suppose!
DumbStick 13
How does that compare with the iphone?

grungy-gonads 54
People with sexy mobiles - do you use one of those screen protector thin pieces of plastic or whatever you call them or just keep the phone nama with no protector?
thursday 1
protector. Onto my second sheet as the first had holes from my keys in the pocket.

HeatherLocklearRocks 1
The Android "Xperia" is out on the streets of Japan now. That's the one to get.
grungy-gonads 54
It's the Xperia X10 overseas. iPhone killer?
muikabochi 208
Now that looks good. The OS (is that the word) for most of the phones here I have seen really isn't user-friendly at all. That almost looks fun to use.
RobBright 35
Want. that. phone.
