Sakai-san 0
I remember go to Naeba in late 80s. It was so crazy busy, we spend most of time lining up for lift. Then the slope is also crowded and difficult to see much white. Like Shinjuku station. People go there now I think enjoy relatively empty slope, I am jealous!
thursday 1
you can show your support in he coming season still.
Tubby Beaver 209
not really Sakai san, this season I went and the lines were crazy!! Albeit the wind was huge and a lot of the top lifts were closed, but the slopes were still busy
IIIII 2
Weekends only TB. Weekdays empty (or not far off).
SKI 15
It can still get fairly busy on weekdays compared with other resorts and also obviously not like it was weekdays perhaps 20 years ago. I'm sure they wish it were much busier though.
why? 0
I've got a place in Yuzawa I don't use. How do you reckon would be a good way or place to try and sell it?
pie-eater 207
Someone might buy it if the price is 0 yen. I wouldn't though.
why? 0
Oh come on, at least say one yen. That way i can at least hope for the yen to hit, like, 1 yen for 40,000 pounds. At zero, you give me no hope, its a mathematics thing.

why? 0
Well maybe I can still work with this. 0 yen is poised to hit 40,000 anytime now. I can rest easy.
why? 0
Hadn't given it much thought, and OK, you would not buy (at any price), but if you had one to SELL, what would you ask for it? This is not to rip anyone off, but a price that someone, somewhere, would be happy to pay.
thursday 1
Anybody been this season? Would like to know how this grand dame is getting on.
muikabochi 208
Not yet but I will go and will report. I suspect it's pretty good up there with all the snow.

Jynxx 4
Yuzawa has a lot going for it, driving or bullet train access, more than a few resorts to go to , Onsen, etc...
scouser 4
That also means that lots of people come on the shink, ski and then go home on the shink. No need to stay.
muikabochi 208
I did read just after New Year that numbers at ski resorts were down pretty much everywhere in Niigata over New Year.... because of the very snowy conditions. double
Nisoko 6
Oh no, no the "too much snow" excuse.
thursday 1
I have come to see that too much snow is a proble for some. Almost zero visibility, knee deep powder where it should not be (groomers). It does make it less pleasant for many.
muikabochi 208
Definitely. Count me in. I'm not keen when it's blizzarding out there.

You gotta be kidding. I thought glooming is to flatten out the track marks and spread that pockets of accumulated heavy snow.
Jynxx 4
Kids never get cold. It's just an excuse (from the kid) thurs.
