Kraut_in_HongKong 0
Quick question: Is there anything to do in or around Niseko for those that don't slide on snow in any form? Not all of the family ski, what can they do for 2 days in Niseko? Is there any possible sight seeing these days?
JA2340 16
YEah, a day trip into Asahikawa - the zoo is quite nice, the penguin walk is worth the price of admission alone! (Sorry, that's from Furano - might be a but of a long day from Niseko!) A wander through the back streets of Kutchan is interesting. Some very nice furniture stores, too! We did a day trip from Kutchan by rail to Otaru and on to Sapporo for a "shopaholic fix".
Go Native 70
Kutchan itself is great for a days sightseeing and eating. A trip into Otaru or Sapporo is also well worth it. When are you coming Kraut?

Jynxx 4
That's a damn good idea! at least learn how to ski. It is really easy with the short curved flexy skis. When I learnt that thing was 10 cm higher than me and so stiff... Only takes a day or two..
