muikabochi 208
No according to my friend who called me from there at 1pm. Perhaps we was lying or just mistaken.
stemik 14
at about 1pm to about 3pm it was snowing on the mountain and sleeting in the town
stemik 14
but anyways lets not argue about it - lets enjoy the snow
muikabochi 208
My idea of "dumping" is a little more than sleet. Perhaps I'm just fussy.

muikabochi 208
Nah, I reckon he was just telling the truth as he has nothing to gain or lose by telling it.
gerard 6
Ah... maybe you're the one who's holding out. Bet you PMed Stemik and told him to toe the line too. Keep the flatlanders out of the pow!

muikabochi 208
"Ridiculous?" That's nice of you to say. Not that I want to engage you after that outburst, but the day we were talking about was the day before yesterday (the one when it was rain/sleet in the village).

We all know it's a very different story up on the higher slopes of course.
JA2340 16
Yeah, that's the trouble with relying on "official" measurements. They rarely tell the facts of the area's weather as they only can report the actual measurements at the point at which they are taken. That is why we all rely on people such as GN and others who tell us what they see on the ground. Thank you all!
joshnii 2
And the people putting the efforts every day into the very trustworthy Now pages on here. Definitely worth a big shout of thanks. I see the Yuzawa one has a new reporter as well and a few changes - good stuff. Please keep it up, lots of us appreciate it.
Pete the Shoemaker 0
Hmmm. So when WILL we get DECENT snowfall on Honshu? Still pretty low from the looks of things.

muikabochi 208
Not much here at all FamiliaGTX - probably 10cm all weekend. The prolonged "heavy snow" seems to be avoiding us so far.
alexeiw123 2
thats a shame. hakuba now is up apparently a 30-40cm dump last night hopefully it keeps up as I'm there in a few days! fingers crosses for snow dry fluffy stuff soon in Niigata for you muikabochi.
