big-will 7
There is an area called Jimbotcho near Kanda that has lots of sports shops. That is probably a good place to aim for.
axellieb 0
The Kanda area is most well-known. There are tons of shops there and you cannot miss them. Several on the main street such as Victoria, Murasaki etc., and many more in the back streets. Keep in mind though that they will carry mostly only sizes that are common in Japan. So it depends how big/tall you are.

Davo 1
blue84, hard to say cos with with exchange rate fluctuations and the end of season deals that I guess could be available in OZ, it may be cheaper their. Boards and other gear usually get cheaper here after the N Year period is done around mid Jan.
