Getting a lot of growth round them Had a chat with one of the long term locals. Apparently nothing is being done to "save" these as some kind of memorial and there are calls for them to be brought down and the area cleared up. One group want that to happen and another want it to be preserved as some kind of earthquake memorial and install a little museum type place. So there's a bit of arguing going on.
