Retired Morris Dancer 0
I thought it might be a good idea to post general times it takes for air mail to get to Japan from different places. I'm keen to know about Hong Kong, so anyone onegai shimasu. Ones I know in my experience: From UK - about 6-8 days From US - about 8-10 days
midnightcharger2 0
really depends on the mail from any country. Letter, package, oversized packages, along with customs (how fast they process the item). Your best bet is to ask the local post office.
Retired Morris Dancer 0
Well I just though I would ask here and people could write down their experiences. Not science really!

snowdude 44
Don't know about Hong Kong, but Japan to UK for a letter around 5 - 7 days, standard post, 2-3 days for special post. Parcels usually 7-10 days, normal parcel service, although has been quicker. If you want to guarantee a delivery date then best to send using registered post, which you can do through the post office, there are different services depending on what you want to send. Even a guaranteed delivery date will still be WITHIN a certain number of days.
Okama 0
I'd really like to know more about 'the journey of a package'. I am always amazed too at how takyubin can get something from inaka in southern Japan to inaka in northern Japan in 1 day. It is an excellent service.

thursday 1
Must admit I have not sent personal letters to friends for years. Email has killed that. Don't send parcels either. I tend to buy online, like a good wine, and have it shipped to friends as a gift.
