John Deere 0
I would like to have a car when in these areas, is it too far to drive from Osaka to them?? Would it be better to catch a train to somewhere closer and hire a car from there??? Also thoughts on where to stay and ski in those areas would be good.
grungy-gonads 54
In Shiga Kogen I would recommend skiing in Shiga Kogen. In Nozawa I would recommend skiing in Nozawa. Hmmmm. But with Shiga Kogen, if you are a skier then Yakebitaiyama/Okushiga is a good place to start. But the ticket is for all, so you can enjoy. Too far to drive? Nah, get a car and get it done! John Deere 0
How long would the drive be??
joshnii 2
Add about an hour from how long it takes to get to Nagano city You could take a trip to Madarao and Myoko easily enough as well. Enough for 2 weeks with that lot.
iiyamadude 6
It will sure be useful to get around in. Going Nozawa <> Shiga isn't the easiest on public transport, though there will be buses doing it from accommodations and the monkeys are in the middle as well.
Okama 0
I'd get the car. Give you mobility.
John Deere 0
If I was to go for a week, which would be better, Nozawa, Shiga Kogen or Myoko? Whats the off piste policy like at each?
