BagOfCrisps 24
So Oyuki kigan triggered an outpouring of love for meat in the global-girliness-or-whatever-it's-called thread, so I think it is time to have it's own thread. What's your fave meat? Oh it's so hard to choose between all those lovely juicy succulent alternatives, but I always come back to the quality roast beef my mum makes. It's just the best. Anyway, let's happy meat for our friendly life!

kokodoko 67
beef is probably the best, although certain fishies are quite delectable. chicken is nice.
gerard 6
A good filet mignon is very nice. Don't know if it's as good as Yo' Mama's roast beef though.

grungy-gonads 54
Never had it. Any liver fans here? Tricky one that - either awful or really good. I used to hate hate it when I was at school. But my mother used to cook up some up with some onions and sausages and it was very good.
thursday 1
liver and onions....ummmh think I'll leave it. Croc steaks are good. Wouldn't think it'd be nice and tender.
Tubby Beaver 209
I hate liver, my Gran used to make her Mince N Tatties (Scots staple of minced beef, onions, gravy and potatoes) with Liver, spewed everytime I ate it!!
muikabochi 208
Liver can be very dodgy. It CAN be good though like gg said.

Tubby Beaver 209
I've had it in Haggis, along with the heart, lungs and kidneys, but only when it is chopped up into tiny little bits, sausage style. I hate chunky haggis!!
grungy-gonads 54
Haggis. I don't think I have ever had a proper one. Not sure if I want to. You like them TB?

Tubby Beaver 209
Its not bad GG. Just have to forget about what its made of. Like I said if its a fine grade then its not much different from sausage meat. The taste is good, put a nice dash of pepper on it, eat it with mash potatoes, turnip and a whisky sauce....mmmmm
thursday 1
I've got one in the freezer. How do I cook it?
Tubby Beaver 209
I think its cooked either in the oven or boiled. I've never cooked one, my mum has and I've eaten it in restaurants. Google it for a recipe
tsondaboy 0
I like liver. I prefer it a bit rare because if its over done it gets too dry and tasteless.
Tubby Beaver 209
Yeah, just checked it......if you have one already made then you can just boil it in some water, then you empty out the contents onto your plate with some potatoes, turnip and the whisky sauce!!! easy!!
