OK I was reading something just now and it said that you can 'get an email back', one you have sent, before the other person gets it - if that other person hasn't checked his mails and downloaded it yet.

 

Sounds very unlikely to me. But it says here that if you go to your sent messages, there is a 'Recall this message' option in Tools (doesn't seem to be in Outlook 2007) that lets you do this?

 

Rubbish or something to it?

I have had some sent that have been recalled - and they appear with a line through them in the inbox, however you can still read them. As someone who sent an email to the wrong person with very explosive consequenses...best bet is to write up all emails without an address in the address bar. Check them thorougly - THEN add the recipients - check the recipients names and then press send!

 

Better to check and have no regrets! slap
