Pope Francis has launched a stinging attack on the mafia, warning gangsters that they will go to hell unless they repent and stop doing evil.

"Blood-stained money, blood-stained power, you can't bring it with you to your next life. Repent," he said.

He was speaking at a prayer vigil for relatives of those killed by the mafia.

The Pope has spoken out frequently about the evils of corruption and wrote a booklet on the subject in 2005 when he was archbishop of Buenos Aires.

That's the end of the mafia then!

A man who took a selfie photograph of himself inside a court has been fined £400.

Daniel Lee Thomas, 28, later posted the Mold Crown Court photograph, which showed a judge and the court crest in the background, on Facebook.

Thomas, of Connah's Quay, Flintshire, admitted taking and publishing a photograph of a judge in a court, before Flintshire magistrates.

He said he did not know it was a criminal offence.

The photograph was reported to police by court staff after a member of the public made a complaint.

Police went to Thomas's home, seized his phone and found the offending photograph.

I was just surfing about and for some knucklehead reason I came across the Sun and this "news":

COLDPLAY star CHRIS MARTIN has revealed he used to worry he might be gay — until he realised he loved BOOBS.

Chris, married to Hollywood beauty GWYNETH PALTROW, fretted about his sexuality in his teens because a strict Christian upbringing made him think sex was wrong.

The 31-year-old told Rolling Stone magazine "I grew up with was, if you even think about boobs, you’re going to hell.

It was drilled in — they’re wrong.

But let’s face it, they’re fantastic

I mean come on. As right as he may well be, why do they print this and who actually reads it. (Apart from, er, me, this morning).

Perhaps we could post other important news stories as they break.

So he won't be playing with her boobs anymore.

Spend, spend, spend! Blonde went on spree after council put £52,000 in her account by accident

Michaela Hutchings blew £9,000 on trip to Birmingham's Bullring Centre

She bought designer clothes, shoes, jeans, sunglasses and other luxuries

The 23-year-old transferred £40,000 into an investment account

Council just managed to stop a further £44,500 being wired to her account

Court heard how she had been influenced by her former partner

Sentenced to a 12-month community order and 150 hours unpaid work

A young woman went on a marathon shopping spree hours after a bungling council accidentally credited her bank account with £52,000, a court heard yesterday.

Michaela Hutchings, 23, spent £9,000 on expensive designer clothes, sunglasses and other items after finding the money in her account.

Instead of reporting the error, she also gave her mother Elaine £1,000 in cash, before she was caught by police on April 24 last year.

After she was caught, officers discovered she had transferred £40,000 into an investment account after taking advice from her bank, which was unaware of the mistake.

The mother of one was found guilty of dishonesty and retaining a wrongly credited bank transfer when she appeared at Stafford Crown Court on Monday. Recorder Derek Desmond told her: ‘A little over £52,000 was put into your account in error.

Here's a good clip. First part, traffic accident, BMW driver has arm out of window and loses it, drops onto the road.

Second bit, bloke on stretcher, accidentally cut off his arm with a chainsaw. The einstein started the saw, went to walk down slope to tree and slipped.

Stuff like this makes me feel I'm living in Poland.

Coldplay singer Chris Martin last night denied cheating on Gwyneth Paltrow with a TV assistant.

Reports in the US claimed Chris, who split with his actress wife of 10 years last month, had an affair with the unnamed girl after meeting her backstage on American comedy show Saturday Night Live in 2011.

A source told the New York Post: "He was openly flirting with her at one of the show's after-parties."

But last night Martin's spokesman Murray Chalmers said: "This is completely untrue, we totally deny it."

Martin, 37, has been linked to British TV host Alexa Chung after he was spotted with her at last year's Glastonbury festival.

And in 2009 rumours of a fling with actress Kate Bosworth were strongly denied.

Mum of two Gwyneth, who announced on her Goop website that she and Martin were "consciously uncoupling," has been linked to billionaire Jeff Soffer, lawyer Kevin Yorn and musician Donovan Leitch.

All three denied the rumours.
