keba 0
12 years, but doesn't having a couple of kids put a dent in the ski days notched up each year?

gerard 6
It also makes it harder to justify the need for powder boards and a touring set up!

Yeah true...but there are the moments that make it all feel worth it. This week: 16yr old son volunteered to come shopping at j-supermarket to help translate labels. 14yr old son badgered to join us on University tour (for 16yr old), and spent the tour picking the guides brain about courses. Both boys then spent the car trip home excitedly planning thier Uni days - awwwww! Amongst other things these little instances make up for the hassles!

soubriquet 0
Just been on the blower to a 16 year old. It`s not "if I leave home", its "when to leave home". If kids are bad, parents are worse.

They're not, and don't leave it too late to find out for yourself. I can't wait to have to chase after them down double-blacks into the trees, screaming at me "C'mon Dad, catch up!!" At 2 1/4 and 10 months, I've got time to practice.
HelperElfMissy 42
LOL Keba! Mine are WAY better than me - so I get the older boys to chase the younger boys through the tree's - it just wouldn't do to have the 8yr old peel Mamma off the tree trunk! But it sure it fun to go out for a run with your child. I have 4, all boys, and there was nothing so fabulous as having one on one snow time with each child. But I highly recommend snowboard school/ski school - give you enough of a break that you enjoy the time you are with them!
keba 0
Oh yes, there's no way I'LL be teaching them to ski... And they'll learn to board when they can afford their own boots and rental.
