thursday 1
I too think the Hull game is now pointless. Just give them the points in return for no injuries. : it'll probably be a yawn fest with everybody on edge about the CL game.
bobby12 0
Man Utd will still win because the likes of Macheda are playing for a place in the team next season. They will be more driven than the regular first team would be. It woul dbe funny if Newcastle and Hull both won cos it would mean Sunderland got put down by the Geordies. BagOfCrisps 24
Newcastle will most likely go down simply be being crap next next weekend again and losing, regardless of what ManYoo do.
big-will 7
There will be lots of grumbling going on if United put out that team of youngsters. Oh, the drama!
scouser 4
Hope he does. We'll need some drama at the end of the season. And United can perhaps have 10 points docked for being naughty, or something.
RusholmeRuffian 0
Fergie should put out the kids. No question. Hull will be up for it to try and survive. We don't want an injury to one of our players. F the FA, they were the ones scheduling the games like this.
bobby12 0
Wenger puts out kids every week and he doesnt get into trouble.
pie-eater 207
Yes, I know it's the sun but: MANCHESTER UNITED were last night sensationally warned: Play a weakened side against Hull and we’ll sue you. Relegation-haunted Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Sunderland fear Alex Ferguson will rest his stars against Hull on Sunday ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League final against Barcelona. If Hull win they will stay up — and send two of the three North East clubs down, costing them 」30million apiece in lost revenue. Paragraph E20 of Premier League rules states: In every league match each participating club should field a full strength team. No club has ever been cited for breaching the rule. But officials from Newcastle, Boro and Sunderland have discussed taking action if United send out a shadow side in the final game of the season. A source close to the talks told SunSport: United have every right to think of themselves but that shouldn’t be to the detriment of others. If they field a reserve team at Hull who then win and stay up, then the consequences for two of the three North East clubs will be dire. No one is looking for a favour, just a level playing field. And if the rules are not adhered to there are means of recourse.・ If found guilty of breaching rules, United could face anything from a warning to a big fine.
thursday 1
but Fergie will field a reserve side and still beat Hull. What then?
pie-eater 207
But the semi-reserves didn't get into the FA Cup Final did they?

brit-gob 9
And how on earth are they going to prove Paragraph E20 of Premier League rules states: In every league match each participating club should field a full strength team. You could argue that the youngsters will be up for it more than the main players - fighting for places next season + oldies not wanting to get injured.
grungy-gonads 54
And how on earth are they going to prove >>> they are not. We will just end up with some losers gobbing off about things not being fair when in fact they should have just played better themselves all season.

rach 1
The sun is just beyond a joke. Apparently United have 'bowed to pressure'. I wasn't aware Fergie had published his starting 11, like, over a week in advance. It's usually 45 minutes before the game when that is published. They just fabricate their own stories and then change them like this with another one. How on earth do they get away with it? Quote: MANCHESTER UNITED have bowed to Premier League pressure and will field a stronger team at Hull on Sunday. SunSport revealed yesterday relegation-haunted Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Sunderland are furious at the prospect of United playing a shadow side. But after a day of talks between Premier League chiefs and the clubs, United have promised they will change their plans for the weekend. Boss Alex Ferguson kicked off the compromise by saying Rio Ferdinand must prove his fitness at Hull ahead of the Champions League final three days later. But United are now also likely to deflect any potential criticism by starting with the likes of Tomas Kuszczak, Gary Neville and Park Ji Sung.
grungy-gonads 54
Question is, why would anyone in their right mind plonk down however many "p" it costs to buy the sun? I hear it still doesn't sell much at all in Liverpool.
pie-eater 207
Hull should be WISHING for the main United team. The younguns will simply be more hungry to put on a good display, simple as that. Perhaps the other moaning teams should complain if United put out the full main team and lose?
thursday 1
they could treat it as a training game. Like run at half speed. Don't challenge too vigorously to avoid injury and taking practise long shots from the halfway line.
