grungy-gonads 54
Quote: Cristiano Ronaldo's agents have confirmed the player is set to have talks over a new deal at Manchester United. Real Madrid's pursuit of Ronaldo was one of the sagas of last summer, but now he appears keen on pledging his future to United after Sir Alex Ferguson won the battle to keep him. Ronaldo, who is odds on favourite to be named both World and European Footballer of the Year later this season, appears keen on securing a new deal. Gestiftute - ran by Jorge Mendes - claim a new deal is in the offing, although talks are yet to take place. "It is normal, that a footballer wants a deal to go with his status and one that matches his performances on the field," Gestifute told skysports.com. So, looking for a pay cut then? 2pints-mate 0
As we lost, I have got to agree with bobby12 Would be nice to win 4 or 5 cups, but this is the one that is totally least important.
Chris Walton 0
Harry's Hotspurs !!!! Forget the Premiership. We'll do the Treble. It's a funny old game.

scouser 4
Out of those I'd have to say our game, but I'm confident. Come on Liverpool!
rach 1
Just watching the Bolton Liverpool game now. Who's the no.2 commentator? Sounds like he is constantly eating a pie or something. (Perhaps he is!)
rach 1
2 things while watching the United game: - why do we have to keep on seeing Phil Collins? - was that a joke about Old Trafford pitch being 4 metres wider than the one at Stoke? (Surely all the same?)

(Surely all the same?) pitches are not all the same, there are minimum and maximum parameters that the pitches fall into but some are wider and longer than others....although I reckon 4 metres would be pushing it
rach 1
I did not know that. He definitely said 4 metres (though he is an imbecile, see below). 3-0 now. Berbatov at times shows some sublime ball control skills. One more point: why is this pathetic United-hater of a 2nd commentator allowed to commentate on this (or any) game? His constant snipes, excuses & idiocic bias are very tiring to listen to.
giggsy 0
Cracking game yesterday. That's more like United.
bobby12 0
Highbury used to be a very wide pitch, I think it was the widest in the UK at one point. Ironically at that time arsenal used to use a lot of long throws by either Lee Dixon or Nigel Winterburn.
rach 1
Yes i enjoyed that 2nd half. I see Arsenal lost again.

grungy-gonads 54
Bit rubbish really, Arsenal. Liverpool stride on. Oh it's all very exciting isn't it. Funny how lots of the best England players are strangely (or not) injured for the England friendly on Wednesday.
scouser 4
Apparently...... Steven Gerrard ordered by England to report to the squad hotel after Liverpool issued a statement detailing his leg injury.
