How really do the Aussie ski tourists really act in Japan???

Recommended Posts

eek.gif Another gaijin goes off the deep end; surely not being able to speak a word of Japanese drove him insane? Maybe like the guy from Peru (?) in Hiroshima several years ago who kidnapped an ele school girl and cut her into pieces sick.gif sick.gif

Thursday if you went somewhere else you could give an objective answer!

Lets focus on the goodness of spring and summer instead.

For the recreational skier, *ME*, it's an awesome place. 40 degrees down Jumbo, then your thighs burnout *ME*. Down Grand Slalom, then your thighs burn out 1/3 way down. *ME*.

Down to the beer machines at the Alpen. Thank god. *ME*.

SO sod it. Niseko is NOT flat.

Thursday dont talk about steeps when you dont even know what they are. Jumbo course doesnt hit 40 degrees! 37max/17average/907m Seriously mate you just look silly when the areage is 17 degrees!

nah, the steep part of Jumbo is about 100M, that's enough for me.

There's no point in taking the average when there's a steep part that actually scares people. That's ordinary people, who ski for fun.

I've been there many times.

And I repeat....

Ahhhh!!! DUCK!

We get it already!

**Niseko does not have currently marked courses that are 'steep' - and the legends prefer the death defying drops in other locales..

**Niseko has plenty enough challenging terrain for the recreational skier/boarder. Thursday loves it. So do I. I'm sure we would enjoy Hakks too - just there is likely to be a lot less skiable area for US.

Let back on topic, huh?

Thursday - you big pot stirrer!!!

Apologies - on looking back the pot stirrer was CB - sorry Thursday!

(And before someone jumps down my throat about my 'skiable area for us' comment - I mean there would be more runs we would not consider attempting - rather than actual sq m of snow to ride.)

still lots of snow here but Im not allowed to camp now.

Off the back.

They've opened the Niseko Panorama Line road early this year, so easy to get to Iwaonupuri, Chisenupuri and a couple of roadside gullys.

Nothing major. 30 - 60 mins up, 20 turns down. But it's skiing \:\)

Had a lovely tour around Shinsen Numa (the marsh/wetland) on Sunday morning. Sunny, secluded. Perfect.
