soubriquet 0
I've dropped this in the wrong thread, but I'm still curious. Last weekend was a killer. High winds, heavy snow and bad visibility. Ideal conditions to die in the mountains. I'd like some expert opinion on survival. Yes, I drink a lot of wine, and sometimes have a real problem trying to get to sleep. When I do sleep, mate, I can snore for Britain (but I'll let Kumapix tell that story). Fattwins 0
Sking dense woods and leaving only one person exposed in such terrain lessons the risk. Also riding terrain that only puts yourself at risk and no one else is also important.
sock_monkey 0
just a note, the pics you put up don't really show trees dense enough to prevent an avalanche. That said, the slope size, angle, exposure and terrain in general is easier to manage below treeline.
arcadia 0
Trees are great but it'd suck being caught in a slide then ricocheting from one to the next. Guess that's how a pachinko ball feels.
Fattwins 0
Most of those pics are from the dbd club at 47! Well skied out with lots of anchors.
