hughcohen 0
Anyone do these for pre-ski training? I can't get back up once I'm all the way down. Would be solid leg strength to be able to do them properly.
Kingofmyrrh 0
I could do em last year. Haven't tried this year... but I have a feeling I know the answer.
hughcohen 0
i just tried in the kitchen.. not pretty. I reckon I might have been up to the challenge when I was doing seasons, I used to be able to stand up after a fall on my skis no probs without stocks.. these days it's a bit more dodgy tho. Kingofmyrrh 0
Balance is important. Watch videos and see how the centre of gravity stays over the supporting foot. Stand in a doorframe and allow yourself to use your fingertips to balance at first.
Go Native 70
The question is why the hell would you want to do them at all? Good party trick to impress the girls??
Kingofmyrrh 0
Like doing squats but without all the equipment... you won't get super strong but is great conditioning. I felt the difference in my kendo (the reason I did them) and skiing (incidental). Mock as you like!
Tubby Beaver 209
I used to work with a guy who could do them, I was suitably impressed since he was much older than me and I couldn't get anywhere near doing it
thursday 1
I tried that at home. I think I'll pay someone to do those for me.
smellyfeet 0
Whoah no thank you. I'm going to have a cake now!
cheeseman 1
I don't want to try, I doubt I'd be able to get up from that!
Fossil 0
Cant see the demo window. Is this a one legged squat? Can only do 3 or 4 on each leg. Puts a lot of dangerous strain on the knees I think.
muikabochi 208
You might want to eat less cheese, Cheeseman.
