tripitaka 0
Why don't you ask a native Japanese speaker? If you want to get the correct nuance, etc., this is is usually the way to go if you don't want it to sound awkward.

SamuiKitsune 0
Yeah, I know, but my girlfriend says there really is not proper Kanji and that the Japanese use the term Deep Powder Snow.

SK, deep uses a な adjective Hee hee She is full of surprises! Or at least she has a son who can read it for her. Babelfish also does a reasonable job - but eldest son is much more accurate. We have got many bases covered in our house - Papabear speaks french, two eldest speak Japanese, I have a little italian and work as an interpreter in deaf sign language - so if all else fails body language get's us through. I think she's onto it by keeping it simple. That's my philosophy after many years working as a copywriter. There's a whole website devoted to non-Asian people who get kanji tatoos. I don't like kanji tats, but if I were to get one, I'd do it properly, but I guess ignorance can be bliss.
