Someone told me they can't do that in Japan because there are no explosives in Japan, (something about its in their constitution or the Americans won't let Japanese have them after WWII). I don't really know, its probably just BS but I did hear something like that. So what methods do resorts use here? and is that the big reason why there are so few resorts that have lifts above the tree line? It seems like there is so much more potential at some of the resorts here if they just took the lifts higher. Is lack of avalanche control the reason? Link to post Share on other sites
