nice Kuma!! Thanks
I'll be hooking up a new noboard this winter. Plus a spare if anyone wants to give it a go. I really want to get out there more this season. See you out there, Kuma.
not sure if I have asked yet, but where can I get a NB pad in Japan, or for that matter anywhere?
I will be pioneering NB here in Niseko this season.
ask at your local burton dealer but they are in limited supply
just finished reading a great article on noboarding in this months Transworld Snowboarding mag (the us edition)
anyone who's interested in the history of the sport should check it out.
This is the video to go with the TWSB article.
Watch that and tell me it doesn't look like the funnest thing since nutella and midget wrestling
Okay, I don't know if posting this link will fit with the rules and policy of the forums, but I do think that it's quite related to the topic and of general interest to everyone who likes snowboarding and noboarding. Noboarding still lives in Japan, but it lived in Turkey too, 150 years ago! You can read the full article here with some really cool pics too.
Hope you enjoy and hope it doesn't get deleted
coldcat, if you are wondering so much whether you can post a link like that or not on here and have so many doubts about whether it will be deleted or not etc, why not just ask us? It's really simple. PM me or any other of the mods, or send an email at the address given on the forums. We will answer you promptly and at the same time you won't be making such a big fuss about it online.
(I do of course realise that a select few people seem to want to make a fuss about things like this, here's hoping you aren't one of them!)
haha cool. Its like the ski "resorts" in northern India, the kids are all skiing on home made skis and have little else but layers of cloth to protect them!!
That is a sick article. At first i thought it was by the jibber Jeremy, but it seemed a little too thoughtful for him.
the old dude has sick syle, i hope i can ride like that at his age
Thanks for that Coldcat, i loved it.
Thanks Oyuki. Glad you liked it.
yeah coldcat, saw that jj article in september...pretty true to its roots, as in boarding for transporation
oooh, more pictures from the NB Crew's journey in Japan last winter.
A few pictures from the October issue and more
any idea where the link is?
WOuld be keen to see it.
just found this video on the north face website
the johan video is on the right. pretty cool
this was from Opening Day Saturday, November 22, 2008 Happo-One
Kumapix's Noboard Line.
Kuma was ahead of me and my non-posting friend on the lift, and Kuma must have been heading Mach Whiplash b/c the size of the turns are HUGE.
Noboarding STILL LIVES IN THE JP!
just found a pic of somebody (maybe Neil) noboarding in the new issue of Freerun in the piece about Car Danchi 3. Lots of sick pow shots!
Dizzy, prepare yourself to hit this drop nb-stylee when you come out to Toyama!
the take off is by his head and you can see a bomb hole from the first guy
Can't wait til Saturday when I can go riding again!!!!
Nice. Is that your local place Kumapix?
