veronica 2
I saw that on the news. Sooooo funny. I wish I had been able to tape it. someone might have thrown it up to youtube no doubt. They looked so cute all huddled together like that.

rach 1
Where do these guys sleep? (And don't say under the banana trees round the back!)
grungy-gonads 54
No snow over in Monkey Land. Just 2 monkeys. Must all be in the dining room for morning coffee.
rach 1
They've all gone now. Lunchtime!
Nanako 0
Even though I went to Shiga Kogen a few time, I never saw the monkeys. I really want to go though it looks fun. How long do you stay there if you go?
mina2 6
They'll soon be wishing that bath was cold water.
oo 1
There's a bloke in there right now!
mina2 6
Nanako, it's only a small place but so how long will depend on how much you love those little monkeys. I'd say you want an hour (plus the time it takes to get there from the car park, 30 mins or so each way maybe)
DumbStick 13
I've seen people stay there for less than 5 minutes! The 2 times I went, over an hour. Great to just sit down and watch them do their thing.
mnmnmn 0
I have been there twice - both times I went the same guy was there sitting down on his portable stool painting. If you like monkeys, give yourself at least an hour.
Nisoko 6
Great "monkey taking a dive" shot on there right now (or maybe not by the time you see this)
Cathedrealhead 0
Those monkeys are awesome!
BrazilianSkier 0
Wonderful!
sanjo 2
When are they going to install that 2nd camera showing their banana trees and kitchen area?
rotter 0
Just what other people have said but I highly recommend visiting this place if you are nearby. Unless you hate monkeys perhaps.
mina2 6
I'm surprised there isn't another monkey onsen place like this elsewhere......
BrazilianSkier 0
We will certainly visit if we can get to Japan.
flip360 0
We went to see them when we were in Nozawa. Fabulous. The kids just loved them and we had to tear them away even after well over an hour.
rach 1
Some monkey lovin' going on this evening in Jigokudani. They have no shame. Stop it and go back to get some bananas from the fridge!
hellyer 216
I am sure they are cute but............... In Feb the crew from Lodge Nozawa organised a bus to the monkeys. 10 folks put up their hands to go the next morning We had 40 cm overnight & funnily enough they could not find a driver let alone 10 punters to go. There are no Monkey-friends on a powder day.
JellyBelly 1
There are, believe me. Some people don't like going out in blizzards, and the monkeys are packed in on those days too. With added snow on heads!
best skier in hakuba 5
It's almost worth giving up a snowstorm to visit them then.
