skidaisuki 0
Fatts, any snow on Shiroumadake or the other North Alps peaks yet? I remember being in Hakuba a year ago last weekend and seeing the first proper snow of the year then - the sadly fatal storm.
Go Native 70
It was definitely a little more than just frost. That pic was taken from the western side of the mountain but the eastern side appeared to have a much better cover. Some of the snow has lasted through today and it looks like a nice burst of cold air is going to hit this weekend with some light snowfalls to much lower levels.

Go Native 70
The top of Yotei had a little more snow last night and today has been pretty cool with a top temp of just 10 degrees in Kutchan. Next week is expected to warm again though with temps back up into the mid teens.
Mike Pow 52
The photo above was taken from the base of the Makkari path. Went up Yotei this morning. Light dusting of styrofoam snow down to Stage 3 on the Hirafu path. Full on winter conditions at Stage 8 and up. Pretty even 5cm of coverage (with windblown bare and windblown 10-15cm). One big dump and inside the crater will be good to go. Go Native, where's your avatar pic of?

skidaisuki 0
Me Jane - can't be too summery in Yokohama still? I was in Kawasaki on Saturday and it was pretty chilly in the evening. No wonder our friends in the north are starting to feel winter coming
