Tubby Beaver 209
Does the inactive accounts get deleted after a while?
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 180 Posted September 8, 2007 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted September 8, 2007 Hi Tubby Beaver - I really don't know. Is that interesting? Hey it wasn't us that started the thread! But while we're here, just as another piece of info, that number is just for the Forums and does not include the 15,000+ members we have signed up for the site in general. Ah, but how many of those 15k or whatever "do nothing" SJ, that being the important point here of course. Not that you probably care, but well done anyway.
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 180 Posted September 8, 2007 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted September 8, 2007 Do care actually, it's always nice to hear encouraging comments. Cheers. To address your question - I really don't know that either 2pints, though we do have membership data etc somewhere I'm sure.. but not to share with everyone here though! SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 180 Posted September 8, 2007 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted September 8, 2007 Actually I have just asked about that Tubby Beaver. It seems that since SJ started in 1999 there have been a few times when the forums have been "pruned". That's either out of choice or due to upgrades/changing application issues (the latest time being when we moved over to this domain name). So basically a fair few posts from a quite a few years ago will have disappeared, though the membership data for the people making those posts will remain. Or something like that. I haven't been involved in any of that so I'm not in on the details.
SerreChe 2
So did # 5000 get a prize? Wonder who that is by the way. 15k+ is quite a number. Soon we will repesent a force to be taken seriously by resort managements.... maybe
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan#Andrew 6 Posted September 8, 2007 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted September 8, 2007 It's actually more than that SJF.
thursday 1
But really only about 50 post regularly I reckon.
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 180 Posted September 8, 2007 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted September 8, 2007 It depends on how you define regularly, but it will be much more than 50. Most forums will have that core group of members who are present a lot of the time. In the last 30 days, over 700 accounts have been active (not all of them posting). Tubby Beaver 209
Not particularly interesting, I was just kinda thinking out loud. When I first joined, I used a different name, but I didn't really use the forums that much cos I didn't have a PC. Then I left Japan for a while and really just to keep in touch with things Japanese and Snowy japanese I signed up again, but I couldn't remember my handle so I made up this one. Tubby Beaver 209
nah definitely wasn't that, usually my messageboard aliases are either Tubby Beaver or Far East Arab, don't think the FEA worked though, anyways I like Tubby Beaver
SerreChe 2
O10 has been gone for a while... So has been Spud, wonder what he's up to these days.
bushpig 0
Probably died on a mountain somewhere, leaving his corpse to get eaten by his trusty dog before it gnawed off its own tail and then barked itself to deafness sealed in a little tent.
soubriquet 0
Spud got himself banned for being childish. O11 flounced out at the same time because he couldn't start a flame war. You'll find him on conspiracytheories.com
thursday 1
you been stalking?
soubriquet 0
No chance. He was an interesting bloke, but a little too confrontational for me.
thursday 1
He was a nutter. Anyone who would damage other peoples property (moped apparently) 'cos they were disturbing him, is on the wrong side of rational.
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 180 Posted September 12, 2007 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted September 12, 2007 Perhaps we should not discuss people who are no longer on the Forums (for a number of reasons). Thank you.

Soooo many people posting but it would spice this place up more if more lurkers/members posted more.
