...although it's still a bit vague.

 

I'm lucky enough to have friends who both ski and snowboard and are the same size as me so basically I'm going to try a bit of both at the beginning of the coming season and see which I take too more. Then I'll start thinking about buying the gear.

I'm really looking forward to it though I'm sure I'm going to love it.

That sounds fair enough BettyBoo. You'll need to give both a few days of perseverance though.

 

I'm sure with that attitude you will have a great time whatever you decide. Snow and mountains in winter. Yo thumbsup.gif

Ah but which will you try first ;\)

 

I have skied all my time on the slopes apart from three days last season when I had a go on the snowboad. Perfect conditions (snow/weather) and I had fun but I was glad to be back on the two planks. I might give it another go this coming season.

I usually recommend a lesson to get those very basic, yet ever-so-important fundamentals that your friends can't teach you...

 

However, that advice varies on your japanese. Although, a lot can be learned visually. And will still keep your friends' foolish advice at bay.
