Tubby Beaver 209
yeah, al jazeera tv gets games at 3pm on a saturday, just find a dodgy pub that has invested in said sattelite dish and sit back and watch
scouser 4
I was driving past Anfield yesterday and it struck me once again just how much close the new Liverpool home will be to that silly Everton "stadium".... they'll almost be touching. And in some wonderfully brilliant news: Sunday, 19 August 2007 Liverpool v Chelsea, 16:00 WILL BE THERE
Tubby Beaver 209
will it be closer than this..... This is my home town teams, Dundee United and Dundee FC. I support United, the black and tangerine coloured one
thursday 1
shhet, I don't suppose there's a lot of bloodshed during Derby matches?
Tubby Beaver 209
Actually the rivallry is very good natured now. It wasn't always that way though. The pubs around about the stadium are usually segregated on derby day and the Police have a big presence, but fights at the football is pretty rare nowadays
soubriquet 0
What's the combined capacity. Why can't they share?
thursday 1
14,209 Dundee United 11,800 Dundee FC Why share when you can splurge
soubriquet 0
I wonder if they ever get more than 5, mums excluded.
thursday 1
Dundee population 143,000, so the infratructure can cope with 1 in 10 Dundeeans suddenly deciding to go see their local team.
Tubby Beaver 209
average crowds for D United hovver between 7-8000 Dundee get 3-4000 1 major reason is that you aren't allowed to share grounds in the SPL. Also, why share?
soubriquet 0
Halve your costs?
stemik 14
that must be the closest between 2 grounds...though I beleive Notts County and Notts Forest are quite close...though a river does sperate them
thursday 1
I think sharing a ground is losing your identity. It's just like sharing your home with people you wish did not exist.
stemik 14
it depends which club is moving
Tubby Beaver 209
They're the closest stadiums in the UK and I think Europe as well. Its about 100 metres apart, roughly. Cost cutting....yeah, but I don't wanna share with the assholes across the street.
stemik 14
tubby - whats your team and closest team to your team
Tubby Beaver 209
Dundee United, the orange stadium in the picture, the closest team is the other stadium in the picture, Dundee FC.
giggsy 0
United playing Inter Milan tonight. Rubbish as well apparently, having to follow it online now.
giggsy 0
Well there was talk of Liverpool and Everton sharing a new stadium. Always seemed more than highly unlikely to me. Now there are moves to get Everton kicked out to Kirby.
BagOfCrisps 24
Ground sharing - bad idea. Yes Milan gave United a wake-up call last night. Hahah, aha-haha. Tevez will save them though (sometime in the future).
bobby12 0
From the E2 (sky) website: "For 2007-08 season, The broadcasting of the following European football leagues, Premier League, Bundes Liga (German League) is still undecided. There will be no broadcasting for Eredivisie (Dutch League). UEFA Champions League, Serie A (Italian League), Scottish Premier League, and Ligue 1 (French League) will be broadcasted on SKY PerfecTV! this season." http://soccer.skyperfectv.co.jp/110/ Maybe no premier league on sky this year?!?! They should just go the whole hog and broadcast live 24/7 from a mini-cam inside Nakamura's butthole instead.
giggsy 0
What so you might not get any games? That would be severe... fingers crossed for you.
