Fossil 0
Went on a summer holiday to Zell Am See (July 1986) and met my future wife while skiing on the lake. She pursuaded me to go up the glacier the next day for a spot of snow skiing. I was hooked.

Red Indian Chief Tom Rubber 0
I started with normal skis (friends). There was no snowboards around at that time. Soon I took to telemark and thats what I do most of the time now.
Mrs Egg 0
Family here - my parents were really big skiers and took me when I was still quite young. I think my first time on skis I was only 7. Quite old compared to some now!

SKI 15
I wanted to ski from when I first knew about it. It looked like a lot of fun. It was!
soubriquet 0
In 1958, my family travelled by ship from Perth back to the UK. We arrived in late December. Our first night was spent in a ratty hotel in London. I went out late into the freezing cold, and there were snowflakes drifting from a black sky into the lamplight. I was six. I fell in love, and this vision will stay with me forever.
FukushimaFellow 0
I have always really liked snow. When I was a kid it meant school was closed, which really made all the kids like it. I wanted to ski for as long as I can remember before actually trying it, and that first time was when I was 17 on a trip to France.
housewife 0
I first went with school trip. It was Shiga kogen.

soubriquet 0
London is just another big crowded stinking polluted city. Snow is very rare. Seeing snow falling from the black sky was truly magic. I was instantly hooked and the itch has never gone away. Oishida is a great place for an addict.
Hakuba-Invasion 0
I can't remember life before skiing. I was a small kid when my parents first took me. Good folk.

BigBertha 0
My dad first put me on some skis and I can remember the day now. I was not happy. Crying out loud and complaining. I soon came to enjoy it though.
snowboarding-sally 0
I was raring to go right from the start. Couldn't wait to get on some skis. (Those were the days!) Recently I've been snowboarding.
quattro 1
I was in military school in the 70's. They offered skiing as a PE class. It was a good way to get out of the school well at least for the day.
