LadyMoonlight 0
That London one - is it a joke?? Perhaps they will soon reveal the "real" one.
BagOfCrisps 24
It is incredible how that gets passed when every single person I have spoken to today and yesterday thinks it is terrible. People should be angry.
spook 0
but they won't be... everyone'll just moan about it, that's all
BagOfCrisps 24
But they are. Being angry doesn't mean they have to go on protest marches and burn flags and send letters to the newspaper.
thursday 1
Yeah, I am so angry, I'll have a coupla pints to moan about it.
2pints-mate 0
But surely Kumapix you readily recognised it as "symbolising the Olympic spirit and the ability of the Games to inspire people to take part - not just as spectators, but as volunteers, in the Cultural Olympiad and more." That much is surely obvious. I think I'll have a few pints as well, before they get more expensive.
2pints-mate 0
So you're saying you could see it symbolising the Olympic spirit and the ability of the Games to inspire people to take part - not just as spectators, but as volunteers, in the Cultural Olympiad and more. You must be blind or just plain daft!
thursday 1
if you look at it long enough, it looks like a sex position.
2pints-mate 0
I dunno. I personally saw it as symbolising the Olympic spirit and the ability of the Games to inspire people to take part - not just as spectators, but as volunteers, in the Cultural Olympiad and more. Didn't you see it symbolising the Olympic spirit and the ability of the Games to inspire people to take part - not just as spectators, but as volunteers, in the Cultural Olympiad and more?
2pints-mate 0
Nah I was just trying to understand why you couldn't see that the new design was symbolising the Olympic spirit and the ability of the Games to inspire people to take part - not just as spectators, but as volunteers, in the Cultural Olympiad and more.
thursday 1
now that I've heard it so many times,... maybe it does symbolise the Olympic spirit and the ability of the games.......
Mantas 3
The Poms are constantly trying to prove their 'moderness' to the rest of the world with things like the Millenium dome and the London eye. This is just another classic example. Why cant they just be proud of their heratige and the fact that they are yesterdays heros. FWIW I'd like to see the bust of Captain Cook used in the Logo. Rag-Doll 0
Thursday, As far as poxy logos go the Beijing one isn't too bad, it has a nice blend of the a person running with the kanji (sorry don't know the word for it in Chinese) China. They avoided using a bloody panda which has to count for something.
thursday 1
Yeah it's simplified 国 and traditional 國 but it looks more like 京. Capital. 北京 Beijing, northern capital. That maybe so, but I'd like to burn these.
soubriquet 0
To me it symbolises the Olympic spirit and the ability of the Games to inspire people to take part - not just as spectators, but as volunteers, in the Cultural Olympiad and more. Sobvious, innit? (Can I have my 400,000 quid now? Cash please, I don't take cheques).

base40 0
I'm not sure that it symbolises the Olympic spirit and the ability of the Games to inspire people to take part - not just as spectators, but as volunteers, in the Cultural Olympiad and more. The London one very much so symbolises the Olympic spirit and the ability of the Games to inspire people to take part - not just as spectators, but as volunteers, in the Cultural Olympiad and more. Don't they cringe when coming up with that.
bushpig 0
People like that have their heads so far up their arses with a feeling of self-importance, that no, they don't. Seen any of The Apprentice? (British, not the American version) Some of the wannabee apprentices are so sure of themselves and cocky that they actually say shit like that. :vomit:
muikabochi 208
The Apprentice sure is an interesting watch. Are the US and British versions similar? All those travel ads on CNN make me want to throw something at the tv with their ridiculous slogans. The general public must be more stupid than us lot, that's surely the only explanation! bushpig 0
No they just all live in an imaginary world, with stuffed ideas about what is actually good, and what is just cringe-worthy. They just seem to pander to each other's false sense of self-importance.
muikabochi 208
I'd love to be fly on the wall and listen to them being "creative"
Pete the Shoemaker 0
Abysmal isn't it. I wonder if anyone actually likes it. I think we should come up with some designs, and submit them. Tell them we will do it for 99,999 pounds. Less than a quarter of the cost.
