I went there in January and it was fantastic however we headed over the Miyajima Island staying at the Grand Hotel for a couple of nights, absolutly amazing. My family had been in Japan for nearly a month by then and the Island was one of the last stops but deffinatly a highlight. Will be back there again one day. One question though is there really monkeys at the top of the mountain, we took the lift and never saw one.
