thursday 1
great. Still the chili on it as well as the sauce?
ShinyDiscoBall 2
No thats a different burger all together. I had one over the weekend too. Nice. Like Mos.
thursday 1
gonna check out the local MOS. Don't think they're that updated though.
cheeseman 1
They should come up with a decent cheese burger - concentrating on a quality strong tasting cheese. That would be very nice. And not only delicious but also highly nutritional and fun for all.
thursday 1
At a local american restaurant, I usually have blue cheese with my burger. It's amazing.
its-a-clock 0
I agree. The cheese is sadly lacking in taste in pretty much all the burgers here.
HelperElfMissy 42
good cheese good meat bread that is not loaded with sugar and great fresh produce - lettuce, tomato, onion and whatever else takes your fancy.... ....now that would be worth eating.
thursday 1
yeah MB, you're not talking about this then: Just had this. Had 30 mins between meetings. Walked into a McDonald's to be confronteed with a "double quarter pounder". Well, I was in a hurry.
BagOfCrisps 24
Thats put me off my morning coffee.
Tubby Beaver 209
it looks a bit more appetising here...but not by much! MOS Burgers are good, BUT they are small!! Went to a good Burger joint in Fujisawa the other night, burger was huge, good meaty flavour and not too expensive. I was served with potato wedges, had a nice thick cut tomato, slice of cheese and spicy/tangy BBQ sauce...mmmmmmm
thursday 1
it did have a lot of meat. Some mouthfuls could actually taste it, but not all. The most meat in a burger I've had was a triple whopper. That was enormous.
2pints-mate 0
Sometimes, too much meat is not a good thing. (Especially if it is Mc'Meat')
thursday 1
somehow, I feel whopper meat is a bit better. Probably that flame burnt taste.
thursday 1
But why call it a double quarter, when a half pounder sounds even better.
bobby12 0
McDonalds meat is actually really good quality, better than supermarket stuff, according to the Fast Food Nation book. This is because of all the quality problems they had in the early days, now they are under extreme monitoring from the government to make sure nothign dodgy is going in the burgers. grungy-gonads 54
I admit to liking Burger King. Always have a few when I'm back in the UK.
thursday 1
yes. Especially this one.
BillTheBinMan 0
Got to love the way the burgers always look so big on the photos. Then you get the squashed up pathetic looking thing when you buy it.
muikabochi 208
Just had a new donut-burger from the local Mos. Nice it was. Like their fries as well, just not enough of them!
Tubby Beaver 209
I remember reading somewhere that BK burgers aren't actually "Flame" grilled. They add some BBQ-smoke chips to the stove when cooking them to give them that smoky flavour. Anyone actually worked in a BK and could confirm or deny this?
Nisoko 6
I would imagine so (but not first hand experience). Quite like BK though.
RobBright 35
BK and MB are definitely two of my favourite burger chains. Think Metropolis *cough spit* had a good article a few weeks back about burger places in Tokyo, for those 'gourmet' burgers from time to time.
thursday 1
I liked Wendy's. It was a square pattie, so there would be meat hanging out. Probably the lure. I don't like Freshness Burger. Last time I had one, I felt sick after a bite. Don't like that sauce. I've seen the BK burger being prepared, as they have an "open" kitchen. The meat was just taken out of an electric grill oven. But it did have that flamed bunrt flesh smell. Yeah, BK, MB the faves so far.
Tubby Beaver 209
Beckers USED to be good but they changed the sauces on the Beckers Burger and I swear the burgers get smaller everytime I visit
BagOfCrisps 24
Nah, you just get bigger and tubbier, Mr Beaver!
