spacefrog 0
Yes we all know it`s wrong, but seriously are you that surprised? I think it`s really to be expected sadly enough. Me tinks a little visit to family mart is in order to collect the hard evidence.
JPchucky 0
Not surprised in the slightest. To add to CBs comment: As my good (black) friend always says "J girls love the night stick!!"

YellowSnow 0
I just bought that mag, the pictures in it are pretty funny. As it happens there are more photos of white people in bad situations than black.
IIIII 2
Whats the tone of the thing YellowSnow?
YellowSnow 0
Its pretty right wing, and I know well where they are coming from. Towards the end they have lots of photos on how immoral gaijin are(a few photos of whites rubbing Japaneses tits in public) The back page is probably the worst, it says 47000 crimes committed in Japan by foreigners, most from Russia,China and South America, there are pictures of Iranians in the street selling drugs. The way the photos are taken there is a possibility one of us could be actually in this mag. Shots like in Ueno gaijin kissing Japanese girls on the street, loads of pics in Roppongi. Its pretty hard hitting, a lot of it is probably true, but it does make gaijin in general seem like monsters. Side story, once I was kissing my gf at the time in Ueno station, when a right winger came up and started shouting at us. It is very much written for that kind of person to reinforce how immoral we are.
Yuki's Passion 1
Lets do one bout all the stabbings, bullying leads to suicides, jumping in front of trains, chikans, chinpira, etc... :WTF: ...Oh, deary me, I got it...that gaijin must have a very, very, tiny pecker, and gets made fun of by J-gals who see it, hence he published this
YellowSnow 0
I might do a review of it and post pics vids online, but maybe the black vans will come a collect me.

daver 0
unfortunately there is really nothing anyone us can do about it. make a stink and you end up reinforcing the stereotype of loud obnoxious gaijin who don't know their place in society. until the average japanese person decides they have had enough of this bullshit, nothing is going to get done. i do believe a lot of people in japan have had enough however i don't think the average japanese person has ever considered the notion that silence is acceptance. i figure the best we can do is discuss these things with all of your japanese friends and encourage them to discuss them with their friends. make a change one person at a time. it's not nearly as glamorous as high-jacking one of the fascist mobiles but it will likely work better. actually i have always wanted to co-ordinate a hi-jack of a parked fascist mobile. here is the plan; get three big four-wheel drive type trucks, and outfit them with pimpin BASS systems to drown out the treble speakers the fascists use. ideally the trucks would also be outfitted with spinning hazard lights on the roofs. fill the trucks with as many funky friends you have. dress up in all the colourful gear you have. scantly clad is good too. as soon as the fascists start their parked rant, drive up in delta formation, park one in the rear, one in front, and one to the side of the van. immediately hop out and on top of the trucks(this is so we have an upper hand if they try to get aggressive), lights go on, sound systems all start pumping out something really funky, i'm thinking P-Funk, but if you have any better ideas i would be happy to hear them, and we dance our face off until they shut their stuff off. (or the police force us to stop) the latter is actually ideal, because it will enforce the notion that these fascist have the support of the authorities. hopefully the bystanders can put two and two together. gerard 6
I like your idea of highjacking the trucks, Daver. Quote: i figure the best we can do is discuss these things with all of your japanese friends and encourage them to discuss them with their friends. make a change one person at a time. The thing about that is --I think it would just be kind of embarrassing for most of the Japanese people I know. It's the same thing with the black trucks. If you ask J folks what they're saying, they usually try to avoid the issue, saying something like "I don't know... I don't really understand them". For most sane people in this country, that sort of thing just reflects badly in Japanese society, and talking about it with foreigners is just awkward.

NoFakie 45
You can download a scan of it here. http://www.chomskytorrents.org/TorrentDetails.php?TorrentID=3344 I'm not sure whether any sensible Japanese person will take something with "URA" on the cover seriously, but there you go. I find myself in agreement with this blogger in that "Oi! Nigger! Get your hands off her arse!" type captions only make me laugh. Not that I've not read the rest of the mag though. http://www.w00kie.com/2007/02/02/racist-magazine-gaijin-crime-file/
JPchucky 0
On that link it now states that "As of Feb. 5th Family Mart has pulled all of those rags. off the mutha ****in shelf" or something like that.
YellowSnow 0
Mr Wiggles I concur, ura doesn't even mean crime it means underground/subculture. Like those old porn mags called ura bon.
midnightcharger2 0
In this country you need to walk around with a perpetual invisible raincoat. Just have to learn to let some things roll off your back. Those that are ingnorant will normally always live in ingnorance and racism is a known fact in any country. If that person reading that rat mag in the store while im getting a pack of ciggys or food wants to belive that all foreigners in this country are evil while so be it. Many live that life anywhere in the world without even needing a magazine to help them decide. It doesnt affect the hand over fist of friends I have that are glad to be able to learn and enjoy the times we have together. \ FRANK
oblivion 5
Saw it a friend bought it for me It is quite silly really, though of course will just reinforce opinions of the fools likely to spend money on it. What does the "Ura" thing really signify nuance wise?
number9 0
Ura, as in ura-bon for uncensored porn I saw it at a friend's house too. It's trash and some people have trouble distinguishing sensationalism and facts (of course, the media doesn't help), but that's not a problem unique to Japan. Is it hate literature? It didn't read like obvious hate literature, some articles even mentioned the tight spot Japanese law and society puts some foreigners into (not relatively rich and well treated westerners), which they indicate as some of the reasons for the "foreign crime wave". Anyways, tabloid.
