Oyuki kigan 0
i just saw them last week, and they blew minds... they are a 5-piece ska band from New York, and enjoy a fair amount of success in ska and reggae circles back in the states. They are on a label here in Japan called Ska In The World, and have released a few albums that aren't available in the States. Their most recent one is a 'best of' kinda thing, and the current tour to japan is on supprot of its release. Anyways, they have a great stage presense, and are great at entertaining the crowd. last tour in Japan, they ended the set with one of their most popular songs, and at the end broke into a ska-version of 'Linda Linda', sung in Japanese. This time around, the lead singer went though even more trouble to learn all the lyrics to 'Hito ni Yasashiu' (another Blue Hearts song)and pretty much brought the house down. I was really stoked on seeing them, it was indeen 'skarnage'. Going to see them tomorrow night too! See you there, AK! Bring your skanking shoes and skinny ties!
