bushpig 0
I was under the impression that all Primary schools already did on a certain level. What do you mean by proper?
muikabochi 208
Primary schools in my area don't have any English lessons at all. They have the (very) occasional visit by an AET, that's all.
HighlyTrainedNovaTeacher 2
I think in cities there is a fair bit going on but not when you get out of the cities. So if that is the case - what are the city kids giving up time for to do that?
bushpig 0
yeah well it's a bit of a waste if they are not all doing it, cos when they get to junior high school they all have to start from scratch, regardless of whether they have already learnt some.

2pints-mate 0
So what they mean is "native Columbian who is an English speaker"? Japan sometimes comes across as being a very curious place.
tsondaboy 0
Yap, some times it’s full of contrarieties. They have rules and regulations for almost anything. You need a “許可” work permit/licence for almost all the professions and you have to pass through a series of exams, loose a respectable amount of money to prep-schools and lots of your time in order to get it. And still no regulation at all concerning who is eligible for teaching English.
nzlegend 1
I have a Columbian friend and he speaks great English.
