Grudgingly admit he is good.

Happy new year all. Rather surprised to see Chelsea trailing the leaders by 6 points, more so to see Bolton in 3rd. We're on our way though.

All the best and all that.

That goal from Newcastle near the end there means that we can pull back 2 points again if we win today. I bet it will go right down to the end of the season this time.

I didn't see Crouches sooper scissor goal. Any good?

Phew that was close. I was just about to not care about the FA Cup. But then Ole came on and did the business, as he so often does. He's such a darl.

Here we go here we go here we go, etc:

"Tensions between Jose Mourinho and the Chelsea board appeared to bubble to the surface last night when the manager revealed he was not expecting to add to his squad this month despite identifying players he wanted to bring in.

After Chelsea had been held to a 1-1 draw at Wycombe Wanderers in the first leg of their Carling Cup semi-final, Mourinho hinted at problems with his directors and refused to confirm his long-term future lies at Stamford Bridge."

Beckham to The Galaxy Warriors (or something).

"The 275 million dollar man. David Beckham is set to become the first modern footballer to have a stake in the football club he plays for - and share in its profits."

For footballing reasons.

"David Beckham coming to MLS might be viewed by some as one of the most important moments for soccer in this country and perhaps the history of professional sport," said MLS Commissioner Don Garber."

"David trancends the sport and is a cultural icon. David is clearly one of the most recognisable athletes in the world. People are going to feel really good about David Beckham spending the rest of his career in the US."

Exactly. Did anyone call a taxi?

Sounds like he wants to make the club the Man Utd of USA and bring up football in USA to the level of baseball etc. Sounds like a good plan to me, hes got his head screwed on right.

Football is already growing in the state after the world cup etc. They have a decent national team now too. But the sport has too few opportunities for commercial breaks perhaps.

He will get about 250 million in 5 years they said.
