Definitely skiing. Then you can train him to pull you along the flat sections, so you don't have to unclip.

We wait for obsolescence   Just really hope he grows up OK.

Boy In Japan is walking and talking now. 18mths old and starting to get some independence too.

Took him around 五色沼 in Bandai over the weekend, and he loves walking along the water. It's a great feeling with him holding my hand and walking now.

But got to make an important decision soon. Skis or snowboard.

Always amazed at how long it takes humans to walk when little animals get do so in literally minutes!

;)

Crazy isn't it? Giraffes are walking within an hour of birth, but humans? Na, 18mths...

Skiing is probably best man, most ski schools will teach children to ski from 3 years old, but won't teach snowboarding till the age of 8. So, skiing until he is 8, then give him the choice to switch to a board.

Amen.

But I did see a boarder with a toddler standing in between his bindings at Cortina - kiddy was having fun, they were just cruisin', going slow and getting the feel of turns and weight changes. Could be a good intro on quiet days on cruisey slopes.

PRAY for 18 months!

One of mine was as early as 9 months.

They have NO brains at that age!!

DELAY DELAY DELAY

Funniest thing was he was so little he could walk clear under the pool table. For about a month. He spent the whole next month on his butt near the pool table with a big red egg on his head from walking into the pool table!

Cute little Mr No Brains is now 6ft 3
