Health of Americans vs British

One of the study's authors, James Smith of Rand, said: "You don't expect the health of middle-aged people in these two countries to be too different, but we found that the English are a lot healthier than the Americans."

 

I'm sure if they cut the portions down it would make a start. I was pretty shocked to see the amount of food on a plate when I went (and I was shocked that I was shocked!)

Yes I remember ordering a medium Cafe Latte in some airport, think it was LAX, and being given this gigantuan plastic cup with about 2 litres of coffee in it. I could barely carry it.

I remember my parents telling me that they learnt to order 1 coffee and shared it, same with quite a lot of food orders.

I bet the brits are catching up. When I go back I am shocked at the general size which seems to get bigger every year.
