peterson 0
OK I got some junk mail just now and: a) there was no link in it it was plain text c) there was no mention of a company etc. d) there was no attachment. So.... what possible use could that be? I can understand if there are links and stuff, but with this I just can't understand the purpose. Is there one?
number9 0
Was the attachment (likely a virus) removed by your mail server? Then you should be thankful.

ncorrenti 0
Could be an attempt to find 'active' accounts - that is, if a person replies to the spam mail, their email address is added to a list that the spammer then 'on-sells' to other spammers.

ncorrenti 0
If you get spammed as frequently as I do, you'll enjoy reading this site - it's a laugh. The Nigerian spam one is the funniest. www.thespamletters.com
Davo 1
I've had some classics resulting from advertising for teachers on the Internet. Dear Sir...you only need to pay $1000 and we can split the proceeds of the estate which is worth.... The funniest part is the terrible spelling, grammar, and interesting vocabulary usage from spammers claiming to work for an international bank or some such organisation. Original Equipment Manufacturer - you know when you buy a CD drive for your computer, it comes with a copy of Nero (or something similar) but without all the software packaging & manuals, well thats OEM software.
